Memorial Scholarship Fund:
----------------------------------
The John G. Farrell Memorial Scholarship is presented each year to a Brooklyn Jesuit Prep graduate in memory of John G. Farrell, graduate of Xavier High School '87 and College of the Holy Cross '91. The scholarship was established by John’s Family in recognition of the lasting value of a Jesuit education and in thanksgiving for the blessings John received as a student and alumnus of Jesuit schools. John died in the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The student chosen each year to attend a Jesuit High School as the Farrell scholar exemplifies many of John's virtues:
- an optimistic spirit
- a keen sense of justice
- a genuine concern for others
